Hace algunas horas, la Academia dio a conocer los títulos nominados a la edición número 94 de los premios Óscar. La ceremonia está programada para el próximo 27 de marzo de 2022.
Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográfica los nominados a los próximos premios Oscar. «The Power of the Dog» es la película que tiene más nominaciones, en 12 categorías para ser específicos. Le sigue «Dune», con 10 nominaciones y, empatando, «Belfast» y «West Side Story», con 7.
Cabe destacar que «Bestias», un corto del chileno de Hugo Covarrubias basado en hechos reales, está nominado a Mejor Corto Animado. Tiene una duración de 15:54 minutos y narra la historia de Ingrid Olderöck, una mujer que adiestra perros para cometer horrendos crímenes durante la dictadura militar chilena.
“La relación con su perro, su cuerpo, sus miedos y frustraciones, develan una macabra fractura en su mente y un país”, comentó a Canal 13, el director Covarrubias.
Esta pieza audiovisual animada competirá con «Affairs of the Art», «Boxballet», «Robin Robin» y «The Windshield Wiper».
